Brentford manager Thomas Frank has labelled Chelsea the “best team” in the Premier League, ahead of their highly-anticipated west London derby at Stamford Bridge on Sunday. Frank’s statement comes as Chelsea continues to impress, boasting four consecutive wins and an impressive run of form that has propelled them to the top of the league.
In a press conference, Frank praised Enzo Maresca’s side, stating: “I expect an interesting game with two good teams. They are maybe the best team in the Premier League right now. They are maybe even more in-form than Liverpool, even though they are top of the league. They are playing incredible football and are well-coached. [Enzo] Maresca has done a top job so far with his coaching staff and they look extremely dangerous.”
Frank’s admiration for Maresca is well-deserved, considering the Brentford manager’s own impressive work in west London. This season, Frank has transformed the Bees into an exciting and attacking outfit, with only Chelsea scoring more goals in the Premier League. Frank’s success has not gone unnoticed, with recent links to top managerial positions, including the Manchester United job.
The Sunday clash at Stamford Bridge promises to be an electrifying encounter, pitting the league’s top-scoring teams against each other.
